It was announced today that Gina Carano will NOT be coming back to MMA on the 18th of June at Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum. She has not been cleared by the doctors, so she will NOT be there in action. She has not fought since August of 2009 when she fought and lost to Cyborg Santos. She has been pursuing a film career during this 2 year layoff. I am sure that she will return, but this year may be doubtful and to be honest, such a long layoff could drastically hurt her career especially with the danger that the women's division is currently under. Her would be opposition Sarah D'Alelio does not seem to have another fight booked in its place. We will see if Scott Coker or Zuffa changes that.
