De Fries has an opponent for UFC 138...Oli Thompson + Another Brit signed for the Event.

I previously reported that British heavyweight prospect Phil De Fries (7-0-0-1) had signed on to compete at UFC 138 in Birmingham, England. Well, his wait for an opponent was not very long as it has been reported today that he will be stepping into the cage with Oli Thompson (9-2). Oli is a member of the Wolfslair Academy, which means that he obviously trains with some of the best of the best. This is the 9th British fighter that I am aware of signed for UFC 138.
Big ups to MMAbay.co.uk whom I believe broke this story today. Michael Pepper and his staff usually is on the money, especially when it comes to British MMA.
De Fries is an undefeated prospect with all of his victories coming by submission. Thompson has won five straight fights with four of them coming via stoppage.
In related news, another Brit, the 10th on the card was added when the UFC added Che Mills (13-4-0-1) to the show to fight in the Welterweight division. He competed on the 9th season of the Ultimate Fighter, but lost to James Wilks. Mills is on a four fight winning streak and the signing has been CONFIRMED by the UFC.
I have already stated that I do not like when the UFC fills cards up based on Geography. Actually, I hate that shit.
