A new Black family will be joining the primetime TV landscape this summer: The Ballentines. Headed by patriarch Boyce Ballentine (Cedric The Entertainer) and wife Lolli (Niecy Nash), the clan goes through serious growing pains when Boyce gives up his sexy soul singer lifestyle to save souls in the church as a preacher. Rounding out The Soul Man cast of family and friend regulars are Kendall Clement, John Beasley and Jazz Raycole.
