So, news hit the Interwebs that Camp Mulla might not perform at the BET Awards. But this is not the first time this is happening to the group. The group seems to run into bad luck every time they have to make big appearances.
A few months ago, the group was considered good enough to perform at the opening of the biggest shows on the continent, Big Brother. But a few days to the show, it was reported that the group would not be able to perform at the premiere of one of the most watched shows in Africa. They managed to later perform at one of BBA's eviction shows, though.
Barely two months later, it has happened again. The date the group was scheduled to interview for Visas was too close to the awards ceremony. They unsuccessfully petitioned to have the interview deferred to an earlier date. An awards show appearance is not a case serious enough for the U.S. Embassy to treat with special consideration.
Their BET nomination and appearance was a much hyped affair, with the young group getting a lot of airtime on media and fueling debate on the group's success on social networks. The group has missed the two biggest chances of their career, but they talented. In the end, that's all that matters
