E essas ameaças não são as primeiras que são feitas contra a atual namorada do cantor, e já aconteceu da Selena ser agredida por uma das fãs do Bieber, eles que comemoravam o aniversário do cantor em um restaurante, foram surpreendidos por uma fã descontrolada que agrediu a moça. Eles até cancelaram o jantar e foram embora rapidinho, Selena Gomez saiu tampando seu rosto com o casaco, que dizem rumores que ela teria ficado com a boca inchada.

Mas as loucuras dessas fãs 'pertubadas' não param por ai não, e o motivo dessa vez foi por terem sido divulgadas fotos do casal em um clima de romance bem quente, e isso parece ter revoltado as fãs revoltadinhas.

UFC 130: Fireworks end in a dud

UFC 130 may have started out with fireworks, but when and where it really counted, it ended with a dud. I guess that’s what happens when you lose your scheduled main event weeks before the event. Originally going to be headlined by the third fight between Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard for the lightweight championship, injuries forced the cancellation of that fight. That left light-heavyweight (205 lbs.) contenders Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson (32-8, 14 KO’s 7 subs) and Matt ‘The Hammer’ Hamill (10-3, 6 KO’s) to pick up the slack and they didn’t.

I originally predicted Hamill could and would defeat Jackson (pictured at left), based solely on the blueprint Rashad Evans laid out for wrestlers, which he used one year prior, on how to beat the former champion. However, Hamill, a former division three national champion wrestler, was unable to do the same. As a matter of fact, Jackson was never in danger at all throughout the fight of being taken down.

That left the fight standing, where Jackson had a decisive advantage, and he used it effectively. Yet, Hamill was never in any serious trouble throughout, thus causing Jackson to win a lackluster unanimous decision. The 12,000+ in attendance, which is another issue, voiced their displeasure and apparently UFC President Dana White did not disagree. Part of that emotion came from what he was already feeling after the co-main event.

Heavyweights Frank Mir (15-5, 3 KO’s 8 subs), a former two-time champion, and Roy ‘Big Country’ Nelson (15-6, 8 KO’s 5 subs), both fighting in their hometown, did not do much to win their hometown fans over. Nelson especially, who weighed in @ 260 lbs, looked out of shape, more than normal, and unmotivated throughout. Mir meanwhile, did take the fight to Nelson, but didn’t do much to try and finish it. This resulted in another lopsided unanimous decision win for Mir.

To say Dana White was initially displeased with the way this fight played out is an understatement. In his post fight press conference on Saturday night he berated Mir by saying, “Frank Mir has been a two-time world champion. He’s been around a long time. He’s a super talented guy and I expect more from him.” However, he softened his stance a bit on the former champion 24 hours later when he said, “I was a little harsh on Mir. He came into that fight with the perfect gameplan, and he nailed Roy with some big shots. Mir dominated that fight from start to finish, and he deserves some credit for that."

As for the undercard, there was some excitement as All-American light-heavyweight Brian Stann (11-3, 8 KO’s, 1 sub) continued his winning ways by destroying Jorge Santiago (23-9, 9 KO’s, 12 subs) via TKO from punches in bunches in the second round. Also, in the battle of the twin towers, heavyweight contender 6’7” Travis ‘Hapa’ Browne (11-0-1, 9 KO’s 1 subs) garnered the KO of the night bonus for his highlight reel “Superman Punch” knockout over 6’11” Stefan ‘Skyscraper’ Struve (21-5, 5 KO’s 14 subs) in the first round.

The other bout on the undercard featured a welterweight (170 lbs.) tilt between contenders Rick ‘Horror’ Story (13-3, 3 KO’s 3 subs) and Thiago ‘Pitbull’ Alves (18-8, 11 KO’s 1 sub). What had the potential to be a dynamite fight, turned out to be another dud as Story dominated Alves with his wrestling and gutted out a unanimous three round decision victory. The win now propels Story though, riding a six-fight win streak, to the top tier of the division and a potential match-up with fellow wrestler and number one contender Jon Fitch.

Uma consulta pública em discussão na Anvisa (Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária) visa proibir a entrada no país de cigarros eletrônicos.

Para aqueles que não o conhecem estes dispositivos, geralmente fabricados na China, eles são idênticos na aparência e formato de um cigarro comum, porém não contém tabaco, mas sim um refil para nicotina e aromatizantes.

A idéia do produto é amenizar o vício em si, e dispensar a fumasse poluente e ajudar a ansiedade para fumar um cigarro.

A aqui vai uma foto da atriz Lindsay Lohan, que está no momento em prisão domiciliar, e foi tirada essa foto enquanto fumava o cigarro eletrônico para poder acabar com seu vício, que por acaso ela também está fazendo propagandas desta tecnologia.

Estudos feitos no Estados Unidos, comprovaram que estes cigarros são tão cancerígenos como um cigarro comum, e como não tem nenhuma regra que o proíba, os EUA não querem a comercialização.

E por aqui no Brasil não é diferente, qualquer coisa que faz mal a saúde humana tem que ser antes registrada na Anvisa, mas mesmo assim é possível se obter os cigarros eletrônicos.

A Anvisa avisou que está definindo uma norma que proíbe totalmente a entrada deste produto no Brasil, e eu também concordo, se ela faz o mesmo mal que o cigarro normal acho irrelevante ter ele aqui, se realmente não fizesse mal algum e ajudasse a galera a parar de fumar, com certeza isto ia ser muito interessante.

PEMANASAN GLOBAL

Pemanasan global atau Global Warming adalah adanya proses peningkatan suhu rata-rata atmosfer, laut, dan daratan Bumi.

Suhu rata-rata global pada permukaan Bumi telah meningkat 0.74 ± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F) selama seratus tahun terakhir. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) menyimpulkan bahwa, "sebagian besar peningkatan suhu rata-rata global sejak pertengahan abad ke-20 kemungkinan besar disebabkan oleh meningkatnya konsentrasi gas-gas rumah kaca akibat aktivitas manusia" melalui efek rumah kaca. Kesimpulan dasar ini telah dikemukakan oleh setidaknya 30 badan ilmiah dan akademik, termasuk semua akademi sains nasional dari negara-negara G8. Beberapa hal-hal yang masih diragukan para ilmuwan adalah mengenai jumlah pemanasan yang diperkirakan akan terjadi di masa depan, dan bagaimana pemanasan serta perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi tersebut akan bervariasi dari satu daerah ke daerah yang lain. Hingga saat ini masih terjadi perdebatan politik dan publik di dunia mengenai apa, jika ada, tindakan yang harus dilakukan untuk mengurangi atau membalikkan pemanasan lebih lanjut atau untuk beradaptasi terhadap konsekuensi-konsekuensi yang ada. Sebagian besar pemerintahan negara-negara di dunia telah menandatangani dan meratifikasi Protokol Kyoto, yang mengarah pada pengurangan emisi gas-gas rumah kaca.

PENYEBAB PEMANASAN GLOBAL

Efek rumah kaca

Segala sumber energi yang terdapat di Bumi berasal dari Matahari. Sebagian besar energi tersebut berbentuk radiasi gelombang pendek, termasuk cahaya tampak. Ketika energi ini tiba permukaan Bumi, ia berubah dari cahaya menjadi panas yang menghangatkan Bumi. Permukaan Bumi, akan menyerap sebagian panas dan memantulkan kembali sisanya. Sebagian dari panas ini berwujud radiasi infra merah gelombang panjang ke angkasa luar. Namun sebagian panas tetap terperangkap di atmosfer bumi akibat menumpuknya jumlah gas rumah kaca antara lain uap air, karbon dioksida dan metana yang menjadi perangkap gelombang radiasi ini. Gas-gas ini menyerap dan memantulkan kembali radiasi gelombang yang dipancarkan Bumi dan akibatnya panas tersebut akan tersimpan di permukaan Bumi. Keadaan ini terjadi terus menerus sehingga mengakibatkan suhu rata-rata tahunan bumi terus meningkat.

Gas-gas tersebut berfungsi sebagaimana gas dalam rumah kaca. Dengan semakin meningkatnya konsentrasi gas-gas ini di atmosfer, semakin banyak panas yang terperangkap di bawahnya.

Efek rumah kaca ini sangat dibutuhkan oleh segala makhluk hidup yang ada di bumi, karena tanpanya, planet ini akan menjadi sangat dingin. Dengan temperatur rata-rata sebesar 15 °C (59 °F), bumi sebenarnya telah lebih panas 33 °C (59 °F)dari temperaturnya semula, jika tidak ada efek rumah kaca suhu bumi hanya -18 °C sehingga es akan menutupi seluruh permukaan Bumi. Akan tetapi sebaliknya, apabila gas-gas tersebut telah berlebihan di atmosfer, akan mengakibatkan pemanasan global.

Efek umpan balik

Anasir penyebab pemanasan global juga dipengaruhi oleh berbagai proses umpan balik yang dihasilkannya. Sebagai contoh adalah pada penguapan air. Pada kasus pemanasan akibat bertambahnya gas-gas rumah kaca seperti CO2, pemanasan pada awalnya akan menyebabkan lebih banyaknya air yang menguap ke atmosfer. Karena uap air sendiri merupakan gas rumah kaca, pemanasan akan terus berlanjut dan menambah jumlah uap air di udara sampai tercapainya suatu kesetimbangan konsentrasi uap air. Efek rumah kaca yang dihasilkannya lebih besar bila dibandingkan oleh akibat gas CO2 sendiri. (Walaupun umpan balik ini meningkatkan kandungan air absolut di udara, kelembaban relatif udara hampir konstan atau bahkan agak menurun karena udara menjadi menghangat). Umpan balik ini hanya berdampak secara perlahan-lahan karena CO2 memiliki usia yang panjang di atmosfer.

Efek umpan balik karena pengaruh awan sedang menjadi objek penelitian saat ini. Bila dilihat dari bawah, awan akan memantulkan kembali radiasi infra merah ke permukaan, sehingga akan meningkatkan efek pemanasan. Sebaliknya bila dilihat dari atas, awan tersebut akan memantulkan sinar Matahari dan radiasi infra merah ke angkasa, sehingga meningkatkan efek pendinginan. Apakah efek netto-nya menghasilkan pemanasan atau pendinginan tergantung pada beberapa detail-detail tertentu seperti tipe dan ketinggian awan tersebut. Detail-detail ini sulit direpresentasikan dalam model iklim, antara lain karena awan sangat kecil bila dibandingkan dengan jarak antara batas-batas komputasional dalam model iklim (sekitar 125 hingga 500 km untuk model yang digunakan dalam Laporan Pandangan IPCC ke Empat). Walaupun demikian, umpan balik awan berada pada peringkat dua bila dibandingkan dengan umpan balik uap air dan dianggap positif (menambah pemanasan) dalam semua model yang digunakan dalam Laporan Pandangan IPCC ke Empat.

Umpan balik penting lainnya adalah hilangnya kemampuan memantulkan cahaya (albedo) oleh es. Ketika suhu global meningkat, es yang berada di dekat kutub mencair dengan kecepatan yang terus meningkat. Bersamaan dengan melelehnya es tersebut, daratan atau air di bawahnya akan terbuka. Baik daratan maupun air memiliki kemampuan memantulkan cahaya lebih sedikit bila dibandingkan dengan es, dan akibatnya akan menyerap lebih banyak radiasi Matahari. Hal ini akan menambah pemanasan dan menimbulkan lebih banyak lagi es yang mencair, menjadi suatu siklus yang berkelanjutan.

Umpan balik positif akibat terlepasnya CO2 dan CH4 dari melunaknya tanah beku (permafrost) adalah mekanisme lainnya yang berkontribusi terhadap pemanasan. Selain itu, es yang meleleh juga akan melepas CH4 yang juga menimbulkan umpan balik positif.

Kemampuan lautan untuk menyerap karbon juga akan berkurang bila ia menghangat, hal ini diakibatkan oleh menurunya tingkat nutrien pada zona mesopelagic sehingga membatasi pertumbuhan diatom daripada fitoflankton yang merupakan penyerap karbon yang rendah.

Variasi Matahari

Terdapat hipotesa yang menyatakan bahwa variasi dari Matahari, dengan kemungkinan diperkuat oleh umpan balik dari awan, dapat memberi kontribusi dalam pemanasan saat ini. erbedaan antara mekanisme ini dengan pemanasan akibat efek rumah kaca adalah meningkatnya aktivitas Matahari akan memanaskan stratosfer sebaliknya efek rumah kaca akan mendinginkan stratosfer. Pendinginan stratosfer bagian bawah paling tidak telah diamati sejak tahun 1960, yang tidak akan terjadi bila aktivitas Matahari menjadi kontributor utama pemanasan saat ini. Mais uma grande festa, quer dizer, a última festa deste primeiro ano do Ponto de Cultura Criarte. Ontem, dia 26 de maio, o Centro Cultural da Ramacrisna foi o palco da diversidade, ao som do Samba, Rap, MPB, Forró e Sertanejo, o público curtiu o melhor dos artistas de Betim (aliás, o público foi outra atração desse grande evento).

Mostrando que o Ponto de Cultura é para qualquer idade, crianças e adultos marcaram presença e se animaram com as apresentações ao som de Hugo Guedes, Forró Hawaianna, Liz Eulália, Jacklane e uma apresentação de Hip-hop com Tula J e seus alunos.

Só para lembrar, este foi o encerramento do primeiro ano do Ponto de Cultura Criarte, que teve como tema a Música. E o projeto que se prolonga por mais dois anos, promete evidenciar ainda mais a cultura betinense com novos temas; bem como artesanato, atividades circense, culinária regional e manifestações folclóricas e teatrais.

Zuffa Zombie? Maybe I am...Maybe not...

Now, I know that I am going to be immediately classified into my good friend Bloodstain Lane's created word “Zuffa Zombie” group for what I am about to write in this article, but sometimes things just need to be done. I have sat back for quite some time and listened to quite a bit of hype over a few fighters that I truly believe are extremely overrated. Now, to the people that are trying to shove these guys down our throats day in and day out, they are not overrated, but the exact opposite. Most people say that the fighters that I am about to mention does not get any credit because they don't work for “The Man” Dana White.

Am I a Zuffa Zombie? I don't know, but I will make sure I ask my good friend from New York this week on the MMA AFFILIATES Radio show when he shares the co-host spot with me and my good friend Jason London. However, until then, I will let you decide as I speak of a few fighters that will probably have you sending me hate mail within five minutes of reading this. Now, here is my take on the UFC first and then these fighters. The UFC, is the SUPER BOWL of mixed martial arts in my opinion and 90-95% of the best fighters on earth work there. PERIOD.

Now, moving onto my actual topic here, I am going to talk about some of these fighters OUTSIDE the UFC that actually get far more credit than what they deserve. I hear all of the Zuffa haters out there saying that the UFC champions and top ranked fighters would be in so much trouble if so-n-so would come to the UFC. Well, lets really analyze some of these so-called underrated fighters. I am gonna start at the top of the list with Mr. Nick Diaz.

How many people in the past month have said that this is the man to defeat George St. Pierre and take his UFC Welterweight Championship? Lets be real here, we have heard plenty of people make this claim. The reason? Nick Diaz has actually marketed himself pretty damn well and has gained quite a decent following. Now, I admit that he has 10 wins in a row, but lets not even compare that to George St. Pierre's wins. I mean we can, but Diaz has met no where NEAR the competition of GSP over this span of time. Nick Diaz, the man that everyone thinks is the “next man” in the UFC's biggest win in this period of time was against Paul Daley, whom lost BADLY to a man that GSP beat twice in Josh Koscheck. Lets be real with this...Nick Diaz did NOT dominate Paul Daley and Daley actually clipped him a couple of times and I believe had TWO knockdowns in that first round. Yes, Nick Diaz finishes fights @ 170 (My Kenny Florian joke), but he has met no where near the same opposition. Am I the only one that realizes that Mr. Next big thing is only 6-4 against the big boys in the UFC? Of course, when I say big boys, I mean the likes of Jeremy Jackson, Robbie Lawler, Karo Parisyan (loss), Drew Fickett, Koji Oishi, Diego Sanchez (loss), Joe Riggs (loss), Sean Sherk (loss), Josh Neer, Gleison Tibau.

Are you kidding me people? I like Nick Diaz, but are we seriously taking a man that has lost to Joe Riggs and Karo Parisyan and making him all of the sudden better than George St. Pierre? Did I forget to mention that he has also lost to KJ Noons (a boxer), Kuniyoshi Hironaka, and Jeremy Jackson? George St. Pierre has lost to TWO people ever and one was just unexpected. I honestly don't even know for sure if Nick Diaz could beat Matt Serra or Matt Hughes RIGHT NOW. Why are we honestly saying that this man can beat George St. Pierre? I am not a GSP fan in any way, but lets be real with ourselves here. Nick Diaz is a man that would have never even been Strikeforce Champion if Jake Shields wouldn't have went to the UFC. Do you really think he could beat Jon Fitch? Josh Koscheck? I am not trying to hate on the guy, but we are taking a man that barely got fights on the main draw in the UFC and making him the next champion. See, with a lot of these guys, you can argue that they never had the chance in the UFC. However, with Nick Diaz, you just cannot do that. He was 6-4 in the UFC. The only real contender that he even beat was Karo Parisyan and that was a close fight in many people's eyes. Outside of the UFC, his only decent win was Paul Daley and he was seconds from getting knocked out in that one too. Am I a Zuffa Zombie because I realize that Nick Diaz has never really done anything amazing in this sport? I mean, in terms of contending with George St. Pierre.

Im just keeping it real. I love to watch Nick Diaz fight, but if you really think he will even come close to beating George St. Pierre, I beg you to bet all your money against all of mine. I will gladly take that bet and be VERY happy the Sunday after as I collect my dough. Will he ever be a World Champion at the highest level? No. NEVER.

Next on the list is Jorge Santiago. He is now getting a shot against Brian Stann, but what is all the fuss about this guy about as well? He ALSO already had a shot in the UFC and what happened? This man went 1-2 in the UFC and was knocked out twice. Over his career, you can see that this man has a jaw that cannot really take too much of a test. He can be knocked out. I give him his credit because he is a warrior and fun to watch, but he much like Diaz would be lucky to be on the main draw long term in the UFC. If Brian Stann knocks him out, then he will be 1-3 in the UFC with 3 KO's against him. Now, lets look at this so-called champion's biggest wins. Jeremy Horn or Mamed Khalidov would have to be his biggest claim to fame. Now, lets look at who has kicked that ass. We got Manny Gamburyan, Keith Wisniewski (Wasnt that a nose tackle for the Raiders?), Diego Sanchez, Jordan Radev, Joey Villasanor, Chris Leben, Alan Belcher, and of course, Mamed Khalidov. Will he ever be World Champion at the highest level? No. NEVER.

Notice that both of these fighters we have mentioned have lost to Diego Sanchez? Why do I mention that? Well, its simple...Most of these people that are big about bragging for these two guys dog Diego Sanchez day in and day out and say that the UFC just babies their Ultimate Fighters. Well, Diego Sanchez, whom most of you don't even rank in your TOP 10 anywhere has beaten both of these men. Is Diego Sanchez a main eventer? No, he is not. I love Diego Sanchez, but in reality, he will never be the UFC Champion at 170. Neither will either of these two men. That is my point that I am trying to make about these fighters here. People say that these dominant champions outside of the UFC would be just as good inside the UFC and I truly disbelieve it. Oh, I am not done...We are gonna keep it moving...

By the way, there will be NO Fedor bashing here. He truly is the greatest of all time. There also will be no Takanori Gomi bashing either...

Hector Lombard? The jury is still not out on him yet, but he had a draw with Kyle Noke. Do you think that Kyle Noke could contend with Anderson Silva? I truly enjoy watching Lombard fight, but I would love it even more if I could see him up against someone that is ranked in the top 100 in the class. He fought Gegard to a decision and lost it and other than that, I cannot honestly give his career any points yet. He NEEDS the UFC to be honest. He needs to get over there and prove that he is as good as his record and legacy seems to say he is. To me, he just has an amazing winning streak against less than stellar competition. Ill give him some credit for his last win at Bellator 44 though. That was some good stuff. Will he ever be World Champion at the highest level? No. NEVER.

Eddie Alvarez? Lost to Shinya Aoki....no shame in that. Also lost to Nick Thompson via TKO. Now, lets look at his wins...His biggest win would have to be over Roger Huerta in my book. I admit, thats pretty solid for a win, but that's about it. Joachim Hansen and Kawajiri were pretty good wins too. With this being said, I truly believe that Alvarez is READY for the next level. I actually think that he has the potential to be successful. However, we must admit that right now, he only has fought maybe three or four major fights in his career up to this point. At age 27, he has plenty of time to get in the UFC and shine. Can he ever be a World Champion at the highest level? Maybe. He is one guy other than Gilbert Melendez and Alistair Overeem that may have a legitimate shot at winning a championship in the Super Bowl of MMA.

Gilbert Melendez and Alistair Overeem? Both are beasts and I believe they will both be champions in the UFC at some point.

That basically covers a few of the so-called GREAT FIGHTERS outside of the UFC. I will write a part two of this article some time this week and will discuss fighters like Jacare and Gegard Mousasi. Am I a Zuffa Zombie for believing the facts in front of me? I do NOT think so, but if you think so, feel free to label me that. The truth is that I think people just wanna latch on to these people because they are the underdog hopes that someone outside of the big show can make the GOLIATH's look less than what they are. All of these fans of these smaller promotions seem to wanna feel like they were PART of something and thats why they blindly say that these fighters are better than their UFC counterparts. I am ALSO a huge fan of these smaller promotions, but if you expect me to say that Drew Fickett can be UFC champion because he holds a title elsewhere, your crazy. I don't give a shit how good Antonio McKee, Jamie Varner, or Jeff Curran looks outside the UFC. Its what they do INSIDE the UFC that matters when it comes to both their LEGACIES and their WALLETS. Am I right? I love Antonio McKee, but since he WAS screwed over after just one loss, he will NEVER be looked at in the same light as other dominant lightweights. He's just some guy now with a bunch of wins against lesser talent. That's the consensus and to be honest, how do you disagree with that?

Fuck it, I guess I am a Zombie then...Its sad Im labeled that when I truly do watch and love ALL MMA FIGHTERS...I just am not BLIND to reality. Ask the fighters themselves...They wanna fight for the UFC too. Why? Money and competition.
